Yin Yoga takes us to the depths of our own Souls. As we move through different supported yoga postures we hold these postures for a longer period of time as a way of stretching the connective tissues in the joints. Through the practice of Yin Yoga we also learned that we can breathe through our natural fight-or-flight tendencies and sit with ourselves in peace. As we hold these postures the teacher will come around and offer Reiki healing. Reiki involves placing the hands on or slightly above the body. It removes blocks in the body's energy system, promotes healing, relaxation and a sense of calm. The whole experience is one that will melt you into your mat, bring you into your center and allow your heart to open in peace.
